2nd Chronicles 7:14 says: If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. KJV
This is a very important step for a church to be taken, before committing to stand in the gap for Zimbabwe or any other nation. If the church does not examine itself carful it will perish, be divided and attacked in a way it cannot stand. Trust that satan will seek for every loop hole in the church, it will be terrible, I have seen a big churches falling in a shameful way!
Let the leaders and the prophet's, the prayer warriors and committed members go into the 7 church prayer having fasted for 7 days before, lead by the book of revelation chapter 2 and 3 and find out the weakness and strength without looking at the person, social status, rich or poor founder or member!
Correct what the Holy Spirit reveals is weak and rotten, remove unholy people and busy bodies, remove leaders who are wicked and remove false prophest, remove unholy people in the praise and worship.
Do everything in peace but in boldness.
Those who repent need to prove themself in the church for at least 6 month before joining the worship or prayer team.

Strengthen what the Holy Spirit reveals is strong in the church, replace the wicked people with prayerful members of the congregation. Do not look at any social status, riches or poor, but in the spirit
Steps to be taken before the prayer
Repent for your own sin's and traspasses deep from your heart
Sanctify your selfe and step in holiness before the throne of God
Remember, you are not standing on the geate of heaven but through Christ Jesus direct in the throne room
Pray for protection of your own and your beloved for the covering in the blood of Jesus Christ and equip yourself with the full armor of God
Before every prayer, worship the Lord with psalms and songs. Go into deep adoration and the Holy Spirit will lead you into prayer. Read to it my article how so many born again churches pay tribute to satan
All prayer for a nation start with coming before the Lord and repenting deep from the heart for the sins of the nation and from there, when you hear the Holy Spirit telling you, it is well, go into warfare and intersession

A prayer for the nation is not a joke, it is not easy and it does not come without a battle. It is a huge sacrefice to be in prayers every night and some of us will be wounded and we need to be there for them and help them up.
Thats why only the righteouse the born again who have been given authority can stand in the gap for a nation. There will be attacks, on the life, on the beloved ones, on the work, business, income, health, mind, motions, relationships.

Those who do not do the will of God being born again, will not be able to resist and be badly wounded even die. Satan has build his stronghold and he will fight with all he has to remain on top of the situation. Those who have no authority will perish. satan and demons are not shaken by any power here on eart, but by authority! Only with authority we can drive out the enemy.
Luke 10:19 I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.
We need to be in unity and prepared, we need to know where are the problems and how to go about it, we need to have a strategy and a plan, meaning organized prayer points according to the situation in the nation and in the church and breaking stronghold by stronghold for example in the government offices.
We need to know who we are!
Here I describe the successful model of how we handle the prayer for the nation in the church in the Philippines I had been send to
1st the call and 5 x prayer points for the nation were each day is strating with deep repentance. 108 Prayer points. Each one has about 20 to 23 points. We devide it in groupes of 4 so that every groupe has 5 to 6 pryaer points plus repenting for the nation.
This is had proved time saving and very effective

After the 5 steps for the prayer warriors, we need to know that a wounded soldier should not go into the battle. Here we write personal prayer request of the prayer warriors and relatives and friends and current events which needs attention. Also here we divide in 4 groups
On the black board are personal prayers like healing, deliverance, restoring of loss, travel protection sudden events like: we have sometimes suicide bombings or Typhons, land slides, floods dengue outbark and now covid, and much more. Also important is to pray for those family members and friends who still walk in darkness, it is very powerful we have testimonies. Our black board is filled now that no space is found but it changes daily as many prayers are answered with time. With this we can go with peace into the battle.
Eevry prayer for the nation after we prayed from the black board, starts with deep repentance every day for the sins of the nation. Also the prayer points are divided into groups. We usually have 4 groupes which means every group repents and has five to six prayer points for the nation. The prayer points are modified for the nations departments and main issues, as there is also warfare prayers, intersession and protective prayers. we have 108 prayer points for the nation.
Under the tarpaulin's i personal have made boxes with sample prayers, so that new comers have an idea of how to pray for certain issues.
