The Anointing of God

If God chooses his people, his servants, He anoints them, He touches them.

Meaning set apart, chosen, and special and sealed by God’s divine power and favor.

He who receives this anointing, had declared the King Jesus Christ

God says in Jeremiah 1:5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

He who is chosen is set apart before his birth. Satan tried to take the kingship, but he was not chosen. It was the Son of God chosen to have the kingship and He got it through his obedience. Satan was rebellious and Satan was formed after the Son of God, so Jesus Christ is the first born, with the right of the kingship!

God is always with his anointed people; he never leaves them or forsakes them. But He can reject them like King Saul through disobedience. We read later/

To be anointed is always with oil; spiritual and in the physical, oil is always involved, either by anointing a king, or if an anointed servant of God by the will and divine power of God anoints another person, oil is involved. Some people do not get anointed by laying hand on by a servant of God, God does it in the Spirit. In the Spirit when God takes his chosen into a vision out of the body to anoint them, oil is involved or in a dream. The oil to anoint was called Chrism, where Christ is being translated from. The oil or the anointing is a seal a special seal for special chosen children of God who have a special portion of faith, a hunger for God, a inner push to do the work of God with a special pession.

We read of the oil in Exodus 30:22-33 the first time.

22 Moreover the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

23 Take thou also unto thee principal spices, of pure myrrh five hundred shekels, and of sweet cinnamon half so much, even two hundred and fifty shekels, and of sweet calamus two hundred and fifty shekels,

24 And of cassia five hundred shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary, and of oil olive an hin:

25 And thou shalt make it an oil of holy ointment, an ointment compound after the art of the apothecary: it shall be an holy anointing oil.

26 And thou shalt anoint the tabernacle of the congregation therewith, and the ark of the testimony,

27 And the table and all his vessels, and the candlestick and his vessels, and the altar of incense,

28 And the altar of burnt offering with all his vessels, and the laver and his foot.

29 And thou shalt sanctify them, that they may be most holy: whatsoever toucheth them shall be holy.

30 And thou shalt anoint Aaron and his sons, and consecrate them, that they may minister unto me in the priest's office.

31 And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, This shall be an holy anointing oil unto me throughout your generations.

32 Upon man's flesh shall it not be poured, neither shall ye make any other like it, after the composition of it: it is holy, and it shall be holy unto you.

33 Whosoever compoundeth any like it, or whosoever putteth any of it upon a stranger, shall even be cut off from his people.

In the generation of Christ Jesus we also use anointing oil, but it shall be pure olive oil any other oil is not worthy it!

We read in James 5:14-15

14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:

15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

The oil is as a seal and before we use the oil, we who have received the anointing, pray for the oil first and release the anointing which is given to us in overflow into it!

Others can use the oil we prayed for, but it shall not be that we as anointed people use oil from others!

The oil is also used when we pray for a house, casting out spirits and breaking spells, so we apply the anointing oil in every place we go in the house, especially to mention , the bed of marriage, the bathroom and the kitchen. 1st John 2:27

27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

We can pray as much as we want to receive the anointing of God, if we have not been chosen by the Lord, we will never receive anything. If I am anointed, i can lay hand on someone to be anointed, but if the person is not chosen, he or she will never receive the anointing. For this to know, those who have the special gift of pouring out the Holy Spirit, will have the gift of distinguishing of the spirits and the gift of knowledge.

It does not mean that the anointing will manifest right from birth, no! Everything has his timing and God’s timing is the best, but God is with his people since birth and his divine favor is upon them, even if they do not know Him for many years. One of the biggest examples is Moses! Another example is I. It took 40 years for me to come out of the world. But I realized during my ministry the favor I had of the Lord before I knew Him. I remember one question I asked my father when I was 10 years old.

I asked; Daddy, once long time ago there must have been nothing, even no universe; who created the first dust corn?

My father looked at me with astonishment and had no answer.

This was for me as a 10 year old boy not knowing God, the proof of the existence of God!

The Lord prevented me from diying many times, as i had an accident crashing a tree with about 90 km/h, the car compleatly destroyed but i had only the mark of the seat belt over my chest and many times more.

Later in my ministry, I came to realize that the Lord had chosen me and it manifested the first time with asking this question to my father. You can only come to such conclusion, by the Holy Spirit!

With also 10 years I had 3 visions, goals for my life I wanted to achieve. Were in all these 3 visions I had for my life, all was against me, but God was with me and I unknowingly with the help of God and under his favor accomplished all those dreams!

By what?

I had simply faith! I knew I can do it! Not knowing that God did it for me!

The last Vision I declared when I was 10 years, brought me to Africa and here I was meeting the Lord! All works together and gives glory to God.

With having been anointed either by the will of God through a prophet of God (remember there are many false prophets), or in a vision by the Lord God almighty, or in a dream, the divine power of God works in us and comes in many forms.

If a man of God lays hand on me to receive the anointing of God and i have received it, it must manifest in a godly dream as well, as the anointing of a person is spiritual by God. Some will have a dream, others a vision in the body and some few a vision out of the body. But it must be seen in the spritual.

Not everybody has the same anointing, every person is unique and every time God anoints a person, his ministry is unique and no one is the same. God is awesome!

The anointing in us manifest in different ways as we read about the gifts of the Holy Spirit in 1st Cor. 12

Here is 1st. cor. 12:4-11

The whole chapter is dedicated to the works of the Spirit, so good to read, good to read the whole bible!

4 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.

5 And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.

6 And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.

7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.

8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;

9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;

10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:

11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.

Without being chosen by God and anointed, nothing will work, except somebody chooses to go to satanic powers, were we have many charlatans with even big names doing so and deceiving many.

How does the anointing work?

God works through us, but important for it is,

• Believe

• Born again

• Faith

• Absolute obedience

• Knowing the voice of the Lord

• No fear

• Holy life

• Humbleness

• Boldness

• Strong prayer life

We can release the anointing power of God by praying through the Spirit, for example;

When I was imprisoned in Kenya, one detainee, who slept beside me, was going up and down in the night. I asked him what’s wrong; he said he has a bad flue and allergy. I asked him, do you want me to pray for you? He said yes. As I laid hand on him in the name of Jesus Christ and prayed, the Lord revealed to me his sick daughter. I asked him about his daughter and he said; she lost her memory, she can’t go to school anymore and she is not even able to decorate the table for the meals, she forgot everything.

I asked him, do you believe that Jesus can heal her too? He answered yes I believe. I told him, close your eyes and look into the eyes of your daughter as you imagine her standing before you. As he was ready and signaled me through pressing my hand, I again laid hand on him in the name of Jesus Christ, and released the anointing of healing and restoration to his daughter. So he was used as a connective medium to his daughter! He believed and he had faith.

The next day he came running into the afternoon service in the prisons church, were we had daily services. He was healed and he said his wife called, his daughter is back to school and restored. Amen glory to God. Many other I prayed like this and testimonies were not waiting long to come.

There are many ways of releasing the anointing; by touching items or anointing handkerchiefs like Paul;

Acts 19:11-12

11 And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul:

12 So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.

It is always the Holy Spirit who will give us the way.

Next way by laying hands on people, but remember;

1st. Tim. 5:21-22

21 I charge thee before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the elect angels, that thou observe these things without preferring one before another, doing nothing by partiality.

22 Lay hands suddenly on no man, neither be partaker of other men's sins: keep thyself pure.

Through the anointing in us and the favor of the Lord upon us, we are able to make use of all spiritual weapons and to call upon all heavenly support by praying to the Father in Jesus name or by praying the Holy Spirit. Also you can release the anointing into cases in a court, for example;

One of the prisoners came, he was not born again and declared in the service, he is innocent but he can’t go out to fix the case, as his bound is too high, I remember he talked about a million Kenya Shilling. First thing I lead him to Christ, he repented before God and went back to God and received salvation by God’s grace. He asked me to pray for it. I asked him: my brother before God tell me, are you really innocent? He said yes I am innocent. I started praying in the name of Jesus Christ, I pray thee God Holy Father, have your fingers on every sheet of paper, I flood the court room and the desks and chairs of the judge with the powerful blood of our Lord Jesus Christ, and I declare justice and righteousness into the case of my brother. He also suffered from TB but was healed instantly, far more the Lord revealed to me about his wife the same and as I asked him, he confirmed, and again I asked to close eyes and to look into her eyes in the Spirit, and she was healed also. God never reveals something, without that He wants to do something!

His hearing in the court was next day morning. In the afternoon he came quick running into the church before getting his things and declared he bound is reduced to 1000 Kenya Shilling that’s 8 USD to that time. From here justice took her way; Amen.

The kind of anointing we receive depends on what the Lord and what purpose we have in life.

The anointing in us is also used to anoint others by laying hands on, but the Lord will show these persons in the Spirit. God will reveal if we have this kind of anointing or not.

Elijah called fire from heaven; can we do that? Yes in the Spirit into satanic strongholds in the first heaven; we have no authority in the second heaven. Elijah stopped the rain for many years, can we do it? By Gods command only! But we can calm a storm by the anointing. Jesus calmed the storm and always called his disciples, you of little faith.

Moses divided the sea by the anointing.

Elisha and Elijah raised dead, and so Jesus; cane we do it?

I raised a dead person in the name of Jesus! Yes we can in Jesus name, and He said so when he was sending out the 72.

What is it for?

For the Glory of God in the first and in the second for the benefit of men to realize, that there is God the creator and the same yesterday, today and forever and that there is salvation! God’s love manifests through the anointing!

What is it doing?

It destroys evil and helps people to restore justice and for them to reach their purposed destination in life. For example: I have prayed for barren women and they were getting pregnant after a short. This ensured the living on of her generation, the continuing of her and her husbands blood line. Eventually giving birth to other anointed man or women of God. Destroying the evil work of satan.

Can we lose it?

Yes

1st Samuel 15:22-23

22 And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.

23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king

But in all, king Saul was still acknowledged by David as an anointed man of God, no matter what evil he did. I can keep the anointing but loose authority. But with Hebrews 10:26 I loose it completely. Sin against the Holy Spirit will also make me loose everything (Salvation) another thing which will make people to loose the anointing and salvation is, worshiping the image of the beast and receiving the mark of the beast.

Disobedience has consequences; we can be rejected by God, or miss a lot of blessings.

Hebrews 10:26

26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

How do we know we are anointed?

Some had visions, which no man can create, some in the body, or as me out of the body, Paul talks he does not know either in the body or out of the body. We will know it was Godly or not.

Some feel fire in certain body parts while praying or ministering or worshipping, this is a sign of an anointing.

Some get prophetic dreams their dreams changing.

Some start praying in tongues, in unknown tongues (new tongues)

Others suddenly preach; and again others heal the sick mostly those who have a burning in their hand.

God will reveal what He has called us to. We keep praying and stay faithful with Him!

If you are anointed, make use of it is very simple just believe and have faith.

The anointing works with a big portion of faith and pushes you through situations a normal person would never go through or do that specific task.

But in the very first: The word of God is anointed and if I preach the word of God not being anointed, I preach out of carnel knowledge and will corrupt the people; this is when denominations are created and religions.

If I am anointed by the Lord, then I will preach the word of God with a flow like pure olive oil and a smell of sweet fragrance with a little bitter taste of rebuke which will pierce the hearts of the people and bring a change in their life for the good and will strengthen their faith.
